There is a popular saying: “Develop a passion for learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow.” This has been Mushokabanji’s motivation since childhood, which has shaped her into the woman she is today.
Mushokabanji is not just any ordinary person – she is an educational psychologist, which means she helps children manage and cope with different feelings and experiences. She is also a teacher by profession and a psychosocial counsellor.
But that’s not all; she has also trained in occupational health and safety, project planning and management, monitoring and evaluation, and community development.
When Mushokabanji is not busy being a superhero of education and counselling, she enjoys drawing, painting and digital art. She also loves writing creative stories, watching movies and television series, listening to music and learning new things.
Her journey was not easy. It took years of dedication and commitment to learning. She began her schooling in Livingstone, where she discovered her love for art and writing. During high school, she joined clubs that helped her understand that people experience life differently.
After school, she pursued her dreams at the University of Zambia, graduating in 2020, with the support of her mother. She believes young people should be given freedom to choose careers they love, with guidance from parents rather than pressure.
“With the right support, young people can create futures they are proud of,” she said.
