ESTHER Banda, from the EU in Zambia Youth Sounding Board, joined The European Union Ambassador to Zambia and COMESA, Karolina Stasiak, as she hosted a diverse team of women to mark International Day of Women in Diplomacy, which is commemorated on June 24th.
The event offered an opportunity for women comprising those in senior management in Diplomacy as well as young women representing various projects and institutions to share opportunities for growth, and insights into different ways to navigate opportunities and challenges in career growth and advocacy.
The International Day of Women in Diplomacy provides a platform to celebrate the remarkable women shaping diplomacy and driving change around the world. Ambassador Stasiak, as a host, created a wonderful opportunity for the young women to strengthen their passion for advocacy, collaboration, and youth participation as they interacted and shared their stories.
Esther had the following takeaway :”My highlight of the day was hearing young women share their leadership journeys. Their stories reminded me that many leaders begin by turning personal challenges into opportunities to advocate for change.”
