Dear Editor,
I write to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Zambian Government for its monumental decision to implement the free education policy. This initiative has lifted a tremendous burden off the shoulders of many parents and guardians, particularly those in rural and underprivileged communities, who have struggled for years to afford quality education for their children.
The policy is a beacon of hope for thousands of children across the country who are now able to attend school without fear of being turned away for failing to pay school fees. It has already begun to bridge the educational gap, giving every child an equal opportunity to access learning, regardless of their financial background.
Education is the foundation of our nation’s future. By ensuring that it is accessible to all, the Government is not only empowering individuals, but also building a stronger, more prosperous Zambia. This policy is a clear demonstration of the Government’s commitment to fulfilling the rights of children and fostering national development. I commend the efforts made so far and encourage the Government to continue prioritizing education and improving learning conditions in schools. The free education policy is indeed a transformative step, and we are deeply grateful.
